Minimally Invasive
Hip Surgery Chandigarh
Smaller incisions. Less blood loss. Faster recovery. Dr. Sandeep Gupta's minimally invasive approach gets most patients home in 2 days.
The Approach
What Makes It Minimally Invasive?
Traditional hip replacement requires a 20–30 cm incision and extensive muscle cutting. Minimally invasive hip surgery uses one or two incisions of 7–10 cm, working between muscles rather than cutting them — significantly reducing trauma to the surrounding tissue.
This means less bleeding during surgery, reduced post-operative pain, and a much faster recovery. Most patients treated with minimally invasive technique at Max Hospital Mohali are discharged on Day 2 rather than Day 5–7 typical of older approaches.
Smaller Incisions
7–10 cm vs 20–30 cm in traditional surgery. Less visible scar, less wound pain.
Muscle Preservation
Working between muscles rather than detaching them. Preserves strength and stability.
Less Blood Loss
Reduced surgical trauma means less intraoperative bleeding. Most patients don't need blood transfusion.
Faster Discharge
Average discharge Day 2 vs Day 5–7 with traditional technique. Get home to your own environment sooner.
Less Post-op Pain
Reduced muscle damage = less post-op pain = less dependency on strong painkillers.
Same Durable Implant
The implant placed is identical to conventional surgery — same lifetime, same quality.
